Welcome to All Parents
Welcome to our section for Parents,
whether you are one of our ‘Link’ parents or just browsing our website.
We hope you’ll find this page
useful, firstly to provide you with online access to school information
such as term dates, newsletters, prospectuses and downloadable forms.
Secondly, if you’ve been browsing the net for information about Speech
and Language provision or aspects of ASD, please do take a look at our
‘useful links for parents’ area. We’ve provided links to a number of
specialist sites and resources that can support Parents with information
and advice on a range of issues from how to apply for Disability Living
Allowances to support groups for autism.
We’re often asked by parents how
they can support their children’s’ learning at home. We take the view
that ‘homework’ should reflect not only a pupil’s academic targets but
also their social and personal development. For many of our pupils
their academic skills are best developed in the context of developing
those important independent living skills. We have started to put
together what we think are some useful resources to support the work of
parents, and of course your children.
Our parents at The Link are
particularly active with a thriving and committed parents group, The
Link Association, who meet regularly, not only to fundraise but also for
fun, games and support. For further details do follow the link to their
page.
