The quality and success of
any school is all about teamwork. At The Link we have an
excellent and well resourced team who are committed to the
development and well-being of our pupils.
We are a small school but
nevertheless have a comprehensive team to meet the diverse needs
of our pupils. In total there are over 25 staff who work at The
Link.
The headteacher Mr Joe
Pearson leads a team of six full time teachers, one for each
class. Our full-time teachers each have a dual role. Firstly as
a teacher to their class but also as a specialist subject
teacher to the whole school.
We also have five further
part-time teachers who are responsible for teaching a specialist
curriculum area. Our part-time teachers teach French, Art,
Design Technology, Food Technology and Music.
Speech and Language Therapy
provision is at the core of our school and we have three
full-time therapists who work with the pupils and, importantly,
in close partnership with the teaching and support staff and
parents.
We recognise the importance
of education in its widest context and have embraced the Every
Child Matters agenda. We have a full time Counsellor, Jacky
Phillips, who leads a small team of therapists including a Drama
therapist, Music therapist and also a Movement therapist.
Included in our Therapy team is an Occupational Therapist who
oversees the OT needs of our pupils.
The support staff are
absolutely key members of our team and we are fortunate to have
a dedicated team, many of whom have been with The Link for many
years working with and supporting our young people from their
entry into the school and beyond, into adulthood.
Teamwork is so important and
'together we make a stronger Link'. |
