Welcome to the Link
Welcome to our website and to the Link Secondary School. We are a school that specialises in meeting the needs of pupils who have Speech, Language and Communication difficulties. We are situated in the London Borough of Sutton, only a few hundred yards from the Purley Way and are easily accessible by public transport from Waddon Station. We are a registered charity and are a non-maintained Special School and currently provide placements for pupils from a number of LEAs. We hope you'll enjoy browsing through our website and which we hope will provide you with a picture of our school and also, in time, act as a useful resource for anyone with an interest and enthusiasm for working and living alongside young people. If you are a prospective parent, researcher or simply have a shared interest in the education of young people with Speech, Language and Communication difficulties, we are always pleased to hear from you.Travel Update: We submitted second School Travel Plan Review on time, together with our application for a TfL Sustainable Travel Award. We have just learned that we have been successful and achieved the OUTSTANDING level award! Well done to everyone involved. . Step Up ‘Campaign in
a Box’:
Our 16+ Group event went off without a hitch. We
were really thrilled that our local MP, Tom Brake found the time to
come, together with representatives from our governing body, Sutton
council, the police, staff and pupils from Sutton High School and our
own Senior Management Team. Check out the
blog and video if you haven't had a chance yet

Our staff signed up for the London Cycle Challenge again and rode over
500 miles during June. In the Summer Term, 14 pupils cycled
on the road for the very first time! They will all be taking part
in a sponsored bike ride to support Riverside Animal Sanctuary in the
Autumn. Walk to School:
Thanks to the work of our Eco Committee cleaning up the environment
around school and our 16+ Group’s Step Up project, the Link Secondary
has been awarded Living Streets’ Walk to School Campaigner of the Year.
Unfortunately we did not hear about it until after the event but have a
look
